seed bombs are a wonderful way to plant a flower garden in, literally, the most effortless way possible.  usually comprised of some sort of clay, seed and worm castings, these ‘bombs’ do the job of enriching the soil for you.  just throw and go, add a little water…voila.  and the ‘lovers garden kit’, as seen here, is the perfect valentine’s gift.  daisies, phlox and forget-me-nots?  sounds like romantic...

are you aware of the beauty right here in our own nwa backyard?  take a trip to the botanical gardens of the ozarks and you will see lily pads, japanese gardens, native trees and plants, sculptures, an impressive vegetable garden, chickens and butterflies.  the plants are well labeled and the paths are plentiful.  the children’s garden is like a cross between a fort and well kept secret.  you are guaranteed to see something new every time...

how (or if) you use water in a landscape is a personal, almost emotional, decision.  there are as many things to consider as there are drops in the pond you are thinking of installing.  cost is an obvious one, but also consider your style, space and even skill level for maintaining it.  do you have kids?  pets?  a dog that likes a good swim perhaps?  all things to consider. what are you trying to achieve with a water feature? something soothing...
